Timbers

Wood is a wonderful medium to work in and people just can't help but touch it and admire its beauty. The three woods mentioned are the ones we use most and find they all compliment each other greatly.

Oak

We primarily use oak for lots of reasons including its durability, bending strength, low stiffness and resistance to shock loads. It's a strong dense hardwood. Oak has been a go to wood for hundreds of years and that also plays a part in the history of wood working which connects with us personally.

Ash

Ash is a great timber to work with, it's good for steam bending and is strong and durable just like oak. Ash can be quite white in colour but we find that works well for contrasting with other woods.

Walnut

Walnut is a beautiful wood used for centuries in the finest furniture, it's colour is a chocolate brown to almost black beige, we like to use it for inlays and wedges for our mortise and tenons.

Electrical

We use a black Bakelite lamp holder and fabric covered flex on all our lighting products.
The fabric flex is ideal for people who admire natural living or working environments, with its whiskey colouring really bring out the natural tones of the timber used.
The cable is conceived to be incredibly flexible and uses the highest quality PVC to avoid the formation of bulges or wrinkles. It is made in Italy and IM-HAR certified, guaranteeing the highest quality in Europe.
The black Bakelite lamp holder guarantees us a very elegant “vintage/contemporary look”. Made in Italy and certified according to the most severe European regulations (IMQ-ENEC).
